A Typical Day at the Novitiate House

Before professing vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, anyone seeking entry into the Community undergoes a period of formation called a Novitiate.

During a period of two years, the Novice purifies his heart and mind through silent prayer and study.

The purpose of the Novitiate is to enter into a deeper communion of love with Christ in order to make a free and true choice of consecrated life. This period of discernment is often called a time of desert.
