Regarding the difficult situation experienced by the Community of the contemplative sisters of Saint-John, together with the general superiors of the two other congregations in the Saint-John Family, the brothers of Saint-John inform you that the Holy Father, who wishes to preserve the unity of the Saint-John Family, has made known through an audience Rescript that He has decided for the dissolution of the Institut of the 'Sisters of Saint-John and Saint-Dominic' erected in Cordoue, Spain last june and whose members were mostly coming from the Community of contemplative sisters of Saint-John. The transcript of the aforementioned Rescript follows below.

The Community of the brothers of Saint-John, in the person of its General Prior, Fr. Thomas, wishes to express once again its filial and obedient communion with the Holy Father.

The brothers of Saint-John continue to keep the community of the contemplative sisters in our prayer. They invite all oblates and friends to join them, in closeness to the Holy Father, so as one we may confidently intercede with the Virgin Mary.
